Join our Move to End Hunger Challenge!

Join us as we move 8,196 miles together for our Move to End Hunger Challenge! This goal represents the distance between our offices in New York and Mozambique. Move to End Hunger was inspired by FeelGood students who hosted a jog-a-thon event during the pandemic. We are thrilled to host this event again as an opportunity to bring our community together for a month of activism and fundraising.

This year we're launching on World Hunger Day, Saturday May 28, and moving throughout the month of June. The idea is simple, register, move, share, and enroll!

Start Fundraising Now!

When it comes to ending hunger, we need everyone. Our goal is audacious, to raise $50,000 by June 30 for the end of hunger! All of the dollars you raise through your own community outreach and networking go toward achieving our goal.

And it all starts here and now with a snazzy personalized fundraising page to share your journey with your friends, family, and supporters. Add a bio, headshot, why you're supporting The Hunger Project and what a world without hunger means to you. Review our Participant Toolkit to help create your page and set your goals.

Our Exercise Challenges

Week 1 (May 30) - Move with a friend. Invite someone to join you for your walk, run, jog, or spin!

Week 2 (Jun 6) - Move in a new way. Are you a runner? Try a bike ride or throw on some rollerblades!

Week 3 (Jun 13) - 50-mile challenge: log 50 miles this week!

Week 4 (Jun 20) - June 21 is the International Day of Yoga: challenge yourself to a yoga session for your movement 2 times this week!

Week 5 (June 27) - Log your fastest mile moving whatever way you want!

You can earn an additional 10 miles per week per Challenge.

Our Advocacy Challenges

Week 1 (May 30) - For the girls! Contact your congressional representative to ask them to support The Girls LEAD Act

  • Week 2 (Jun 6) - Ditch the car for your commute, walk, bike or take public transit to get to work or school this week!

  •

Week 3 (Jun 13) - Keep it clean! This week take a waste bag with you on a walk to pick up litter you see along the way.

  •

Week 4 (Jun 20) - Meat Swap, try eating plant-based meals for the week. Meat consumption per capita has more than doubled in the past 50 years, even as the global population has continued to increase exponentially. The demand for meat has increased five-fold, which in turn has put escalating pressure on the availability of water, land, feed, fertilizer, fuel, waste disposal capacity, and many other limited planetary resources.

Week 5 (June 27) - Waste-free week (bonus since this one only lasts 3 days!) Try living waste-free, and if you’re not sure where to start, here is some inspiration!
