I am a newly retired teacher, living in the country with my wonderful husband, Al, and our two Golden Retrievers - who help keep me mobile!
Mobility - staying active - has always been important to me, especially following a car accident in my 20's that crushed my foot. More recently, upon a trip to Belize, we learned of a young man who had lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. Upon returning to Canada, I researched organizations to help him on the journey of getting a prosthetic and regaining his mobility. This is how I learned of ROMP. Hortencio made it to Gautemala and has received his prosthetic leg! Thank you ROMP! Now, let's look at changing the lives of other amputees in Central America!
