Why Did I Get Involved?
Why did I get involved? How could I not? A child is abused or neglected every 47 seconds in the U.S. More than 3 million children are subjects of at least one child abuse case each year. Nearly 700,000 children are abused in the U.S annually. About one in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Many of these cases don't make the news because they are too horrific, but they happen all the time throughout the country.
Why Am I Fundraising?
This fund-raiser is through Prevent Child Abuse Georgia. Monies raised go to support the life-changing work of PCA Georgia where we envision a state where all children and families thrive in safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments. Child abuse is much more prevalent that most people know and it's important to me to raise awareness and funds to help those who suffer but have no voice.
