I am a mom of three kids and I love what biking does for our family and our world. Our kids can get around our community by bike which saves me time and gets them outside and moving. I am curious to find out how much carbon pollution our family can save from entering the atmosphere during this challenge. According to NASA: Every gallon of gas burned turns into 20lbs of carbon pollution in the atmosphere that lasts for 300-1000 years. Our car burns 1 gallon of gas every 25 miles travelled. I am going to find out how many lbs of pollution our bike riding can prevent. Nothing would make me happier than to see you join our challenge!
I am fundraising for the Corvallis Environmental Center. For over 25 years the CEC has been working on local sustainability issues in Corvallis and surrounding areas. SAGE is educational garden grows food for people in need, while teaching community members of all ages about sustainable food production. The CEC's many outdoor education programs have reached thousands of kids in local communities. I hope to see more kids and community members access these amazing programs from the CEC! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the CEC!
