I was diagnosed in 2018 with stage 2 colon cancer after a tumor perforated my bowel. I woke up from emergency surgery and was told I had cancer. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and almost died from sepsis. It was the scariest time of my life. After 6 months of chemo and multiple surgeries, I have been cancer free since April 2019. I will continue to raise awareness to hopefully save lives.
I am joining the Climb to continue to bring awareness to colorectal cancer and to urge people to get screened. It is treatable if caught early enough. Please donate and help us raise awareness as well as help funding research that could save lives.
