Who Am I?

My name is Jessica Lord-Tovar and I am a colon cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer when I was 41 years old. I underwent a colon resection, 12 cycles of chemotherapy and a liver resection. I have been NED for the past 15 years. I am truly blessed to be able to live a full and active life after my diagnosis.

Why Am I Fundraising?

Together with my wife, Jamie we are Team Double J hiking on August 22, 2021 to raise funds for colon cancer research and bring awareness. Colorectal cancer is still the second leading cause of cancer related deaths. But awareness and early screening can help prevent some of those deaths. We don’t want anyone else to go through what I have gone through. Please show your support for the fight against colorectal cancer and donate to our fundraiser.
