I lost my loving partner of 28 years, Andy, to colon cancer on 08/13/2017, three and a half (3 ½) years after his diagnosis. He was diagnosed at 47 years old. Too young for screening at the time, he had no symptoms and had been very athletic before being diagnosed. I advocate for awareness, a younger screening age, and for patients to not run out of treatment options.
This disease is on the rise for people under the age of 45. By 2030, it is predicted to be the leading cause of cancer deaths in people age 20-45! Overall, colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths among men and women. Yet, it's one of the lowest funded cancers when it comes to cancer research. We need your support!! Any donation is greatly appreciated!! Together we can find a cure.
