I am a 12 year Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer Thriver. My sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer 2 weeks after me. I call myself an Accidental Advocate and have been involved with Fight CRC ever since. I am climbing to raise funds to continue and forward - Our Mission We FIGHT to cure colorectal cancer and serve as relentless champions of hope for all affected by this disease through informed patient support, impactful policy change, and breakthrough research endeavors.
To celebrate my 60th Birthday and my 10 year anniversary of crossing the Ironman World Championship finish line. I am going to attempt something EPIC! In the Wasatch Mountains of Utah at Snow Basin Resort on August 27th 6:00am until August 28th 6:00pm, I will participate in the event, 29029 Everesting. I will have 36 hours to reach 29029 feet, the equivalent height of Mt. Everest - to hike/climb up the mountain then take the gondola down and repeat. I am beyond grateful and blessed to be here to celebrate my 60th Birthday. By 2030, CRC will be the leading cause of cancer death for people ages 20-49. I want to do everything possible to pay it forward, to figure out why so many young people are getting colorectal cancer and to find a cure! I hope you will consider supporting my CRAZY (EPIC) hike/climb. My goal is to raise $1,000 for every 1,000 feet of climbing— so $29,000!!! No donation is too big or too small. Together we can kick cancer in the ass, because #THIS IS CRAP
